Top tip: Color both sides of the paper to make your pinwheel extra cheerful and fun.
You’ll need:
- Pencil with an eraser
- Coloring pencils or pens
- Push pin
- Scissors
How to make your paper pinwheel
Children must ask for adult assistance — this activity includes the use of scissors and pins
- Cut out the square along the outside dotted line
- Color the back of the paper (for a pinwheel with alternating colors, color both sides of the paper!)
- Cut along the diagonal dotted lines
- Lift each corner and bring it to the spot marked “pin” at the center of the square
- Holding it all in place, carefully push the pin through
- Press the pin into the pencil eraser to finish your pinwheel!
